Terri Shaivo--Murder or Mercy?

The Terri Shaivo case is one that has me very upset at people who have your life in your hands.

Terri may have been in a vegetative state, but to determine if it's a complete vegetative state in which you need assistance to breathe you have to have 3 flat brainwave lines.

Terri only had two flat lines and she could breathe on her own, her body did not need any mechanical assistance to do that. And she could swallow with limited success fluid, but in getting nutrition into her she needed to be able to chew, which she was incapable of doing and there still was the danger of asperation even from fluids.

And her eyes followed a balloon that floated above her. It was clear that she did see movement.

Now this is what really burns me---she never was given any treatment to see if parts of her brain could be re-activated---yes folks there is a series of excerises or pattering workouts that can slowly re-active the brain and make the connections between it and functionablity.

Her husband did not permit such treatment, for which there was funds for.

Terri's Husband was living in open adultery and has fathered two children.

Hey Mike!!! If it was such a pain for you to care for her, you could have divorced her, place the funds in a trust to be administered for her treatment. You could have turned over the guardianship of Terri back to her parents and just get on with your life.

Hey Mike!! If you and Terri got married in the Catholic Church you could have also gotten an annulment on compassionate grounds and re-married free and clear.

Hey Mike!!! It was very, VERY CLEAR that her parents were more than willing to take care of her and you could have gotten on with your life!!

But no you asshole murder. You won your case had the food and water cut off from her and STARVED HER TO DEATH!!!!

That is MURDER in the first degree and you had the courts assist you with it as well as the hospic and made them and your cold blooded lawyer acessories to murder.

And you've got all the money too!!! And your lawyer and your brother and parents were in on it too, where you guys that GREEDY???!!!

Let this be a warning to everyone, get your living will or medical directive written down and leave copies not only with your spouse but also with your parents and/or siblings---let as many people know what is your wish get it to a lawyer you can trust and tell your family other than your spouse who has copies.

Otherwise if money is involved you could be gotten rid of like Terri.

My Man knows my wishes and so does my family, there is not going to be any questions about what to do if I can't speak for myself.

If nothing else that is Terri's lesson to everyone.

Mean Kitty with her claws out.
