I made an Oooppsss~~~~

O.K. Folks,

Blame it on the meds, I mean after all I am getting over a cold---But I made a mistake in my last blog---

Ohhh whoaaa the Mean Kitty admits to a mistake???!!! ---well---yeah.

O.K. I said that the oil wells in Los Angels was pumping out 14,000 barrells of oil a day, that part is correct----but I said times that by 30 days and that would be 42,000,000 or 42 million barrels a month---sorry one to many zeros----only 420,000 barrells a month.

But the rest of it is correct!!! We really need to look at our own hidden reserves and on top of that what about re-cycled oil---I mean you have to change the oil in your car every 3,000 miles approxamately if you want your engine to be running right---Right?

O.K. what do you do with all that used oil? Well Folks if you are an old timer-and remember the crazy intersection where High Street goes under the Freeway near the Home Depot, there use to be an oil recycling plant called Fabrini Oil. They would buy used oil and remanufacture it for ---are you ready for this??---Air plane engines!!

Everything can be recycled!! Even the old oil filters can have the oil squeezed out them and used again.

Look during World War II people recycled everything, cooking grease, toothpaste tubes, your porkchop and chicken bones, old rags---I am old enough to still remember an elderly man that had a Horse! Yep a horse and wagon and he would go up and down the blocks calling out "Rags, Any Rags today!"

Of course that meant it was the Rag and Bone Man, he'd come by and buy your old rags, bottles, newspapers, bones, cooking grease and it would all be recycled!! He'd walk and call out and that horse would follow him. Of course the kids would give apples and carrots slices to the horse, it was a very big, gentle creature. And the house wives would get some cash from the old man and add it to their "rainy day" fund.

So we have recycling programs, o.k. we have the recycling bins, and we can take our cans and glass and plastic bottles and get some cash. If your clothes are in really good shape there are consignment shops that will sell them for you. Or have a Yard/Garage sale, see who will buy your stuff.

But what about all the stuff you are not sure of, well you can donate it to charity, but not all charities will take everything. But with proper documentation you can get a tax right off. But that only works if you have enough deductions to do a 1040 long form and a lot of people don't. But don't throw it away.

There's still Craig's list and e-bay. But it still would be nice to have a "Rag and Bone Man" to at least buy your old computer parts for a few bucks.

If there is anyone out there that's reading this blog, look into whatelse can be recycled, and how can people make a few pennies from it. Remember if you save 10 pennies that equals 1 dime.

O.K. I'm going even further about this Oil thing.

I read an article that sent a bit of a scare down my back and I have every reason to belive it's true.

Everyone is worried about the Iranian government enriching uranium, and making a nuclear bomb even tho the Iranians claim it's for peaceful use. Since Iran is an oil rich country they don't need a nuclear reactor for energy, they have plenty of oil. But they do need it for bombs.

Not all Uranium is usable for bomb making, in fact only a tiny amount is really usable. Not all Atoms are usuable for nuclear energy only plutonium and a certain kind of uranium call U-235 are fissile materials. The U.S. and other major powers prefer Plutonium because it's more potent than U-235 but it's harder to handle and it doesn't exist naturally. so to make it it requires reactors, and these are big buildings that are easy to see even being built from spy satelites.

So for a country like Iran using Uranium ore to make fissile material is preferred because it can be built smaller and in secret and underground.

Part of the problem is that U-235 is within Uranium ore which also contains U-238. U-235 can go boom, U-238 can't go boom. but you've got to get U-235 out of U-238.

The concept of making this stuff is simple using a centrifuge process and injecting gas and Don't ask me the exact process I'm not a physisis or whatever.

But because everyone knows that Iran would use their bomb to blow Israel to hell and back, they have to build their labs to make U-235 underground---70 feet underground.

But Iran has a problem, it takes a huge team of workers all speicalists to do this, and Iran doesn't have the people to do this process.

So here is where it gets scary Folks, what if Iran makes a deal with China or North Korea, oil for scientists. What if that is happening right now, What if Iran says to either one or the other, "Hey you give me scientists and I'll blow Israel up and hold everyone else hostage and jack the Oil prices up, Bring the United States into a resession depression as well as the other countries and break their backs, I can even wipe out Saudi Arabia's wells as well, so everyone will have to look at Iran 100, 200, 300 dollars a barrel---- but you I make a sweetheart deal you won't have to pay hardly anything and you be the Big Economic Dog and call the shots."

And those idiots who run Mexico and Venzualla that have oil, they'll be on Iran's bandwagon in a heartbeat.

We know North Korea has the ablity---because they have bombs, And China---I shudder to think.

I guess the guys that were on the Manhatten Project didn't envision this kind of threat, although Oppenheimer knew that a horrible Genie has been unleashed and couldn't be put back into the bottle.

We've got more than our economy to worry about Folks----what all these politicians are talking about is nothing compared to what we are really facing. Have any of them addressed those issues? NO!

So when you go to the voting booth choose wisely---Like I said, we need someone to take not only the economy seriously but also our security as well and it goes far beyond just our borders.

Mean Kitty signing off and getting out her pen to vote by mail.
